Whether you produce a strawberry secco, a classic mead, a pear cider, or an unusual cuvée—and can’t find your product in our standard selection? No problem. E-Label.online is intentionally designed to be flexible, because the diversity of German producers thrives on specialties that don’t fit into any category.
How to create your own product types
Click on Settings in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. Here you’ll find all the options you need to customize your E-Label Editor to match your product range:
- Product Types — Create your own varieties here, such as strawberry secco, quince wine, or elderflower sparkling wine. Simply click on Add Product Type, assign a name — and you’re done.
- Flavors — Add individual descriptions such as earthy, floral, honey-sweet, or whatever makes your product unique.
- Product Features — Define additional characteristics that you regularly need for your labels.
Why this is important
EU Regulation 2021/2117 requires complete and accurate product information on electronic labels. By creating your own product types, you ensure that your specialties are described exactly as your product deserves—and aren’t diluted by an inappropriate standard term. This strengthens your brand and builds trust with your customers.
Practical tip: Once you’ve created product types and flavors, they’re available for every new label. So it’s worth thinking through your entire product range right from the start.
